The antenatal clinic
The practice has a full
antenatal and postnatal
service provided by our
midwife, Julie Harris. Your
care will be shared between
the midwife, the doctor and
the hospital. The antenatal
clinic is held on Wednesday
from 9am. First appointment
needs to be booked through
the reception then Julie
will ask you to make another
appointment when she feels
you need to be seen again.
Family planning services
The doctors and nurse
provide advice on all types
of family planning.
For emergency contraception
advice you need to see a
doctor as soon as possible.
Cervical smears
All women between 25 and 50
should have a cervical smear
test every three years.
Between the age of 50 and 65
you will have a cervical
smear test every five years.
You will get a letter
reminding you when your
smear test is due. You
should make your appointment
to see the Practice Nurse
about halfway between
periods.
